WASHINGTON, DC—Commercial real estate investment services firm Marcus & Millichap reports that Robert Filley has joined the firm as senior director of the firm's National Office and Industrial Properties Group based here.
Filley will lead the expansion of the firm's office and industrial business throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia area, company officials say.
“We are fortunate to attract such an experienced office and industrial transactions expert as Bob to the firm,” says Alan Pontius, national director of the NOIPG. “In addition to the expanded service level we will offer owners in the area, his many years of experience will help us support our other agents throughout this important region.”
“Bob is a powerful addition to our growing team of office and industrial property professionals,” adds Bryn Merrey, regional manager of Marcus & Millichap's Washington, D.C., office. “He joins several other new members to the team as we become even more highly focused on this critical and growing property segment.”
Filley has more than 16 years of commercial real estate experience including development, leasing, sales and finance. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, he was a managing director at Transwestern, where he was involved in the sale of more than $3 billion of office and industrial properties in the Washington, DC region. Prior to joining Transwestern, Filley was with L.J. Melody in Seattle, where he was involved in more than $200 million in financing during his three-year tenure.
