LOS ANGELES—Hudson PacificProperties is preparing to start construction onits Icon at Sunset Bronson Studios, thecenterpiece of the studio's $150-million expansion project. Locatedat Sunset Bronson Studios, one of Hollywood'soldest studios, Icon is a 14-story, 315,000-square-footcreative office building. The greater expansionproject also includes a five-story production building and aparking structure with 1,635 parking spaces.

"Icon at Sunset Bronson Studios presents the opportunity forinnovative businesses to locate on an active and bustling studiocampus and meets the significant demand for class-A office space inHollywood,” Christopher Barton, EVP at HudsonPacific Properties, tells GlobeSt.com. “The building offerslarge continguous floor plates, multiple outdoor terraces, greatviews and robust infrastructure.”

Icon is located on a 10.55-acre lot at the intersection ofBronson Street and Sunset Boulevard. Architecture firmGensler designed the building with tiered andstacked layers wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass. The interiorspaces feature increased ceiling heights, views from articulatedwindow walls and abundant natural light. Although the building willcater to creative offices seeking a highly creative studioenvironment, the floor plates can be configured for both open andtraditional floor plans. The completed building is expected to meetLEED-Gold certified standards.
