DETROIT—CBRE Group, Inc. has just decided to increase the responsibilities of John Latessa, the Los Angeles-based company's senior managing director for the Detroit metro area and the three Ohio markets of Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. He already leads over 600 CBRE professionals and will now assume an even broader leadership role within the Midwest.

In addition to Michigan and Ohio, Latessa will now be responsible for Indianapolis, led locally by John Merrill, St. Louis, led by Jeff Kaiser, and Kansas City, MO, led by Mike Klamm. In recognition of these expanded responsibilities, Latessa will also join CBRE's Eastern Division Executive Committee.

“John has a deep knowledge of our strong client service platform and has effectively fostered the ongoing development of our industry leading professionals,” says Jim Reid, president, US Eastern Division, CBRE. “Since assuming responsibility for our Detroit operations in 2008, and adding oversight of the Ohio markets in 2012, John has continued the robust growth of CBRE into the region's full service market leader.”

Prior to joining CBRE, Latessa was a principal/managing director of JFK Investment Co., LLC and a project manager/director of marketing with Hines.
