NORTHRIDGE, CA—Eight months after opening, theTCA-designed Terrena ApartmentHomes, a multifamily andmixed-use complex, has 72% occupancy. The 402-unitcomplex offers onsite amenities and retail that have helped attracttenants to the development.
“The design of the overall community and its amenities is uppingthe bar for future mixed-use, multifamily developments,” saysAram Chahbazian, president of TCA Architects. “Theentire community was designed with sustainabilityat the forefront. We're so very pleased that Terrena isresonating with residents.” GlobeSt.com was unable to getadditional comments about the leasing efforts prior to thepublishing deadline.
The development offers a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroomapartments and 14,000 square feet of onsite retail space. Each ofthe interior units features high-end finishes and appliances, butperhaps most alluring to prospective tenants are the communityqualities for which TCA is known. The complex has salt water pools,edible landscaping, including fruit trees, and pet spas along withgaming rooms, an outdoor movie theater and outdoor fireplaces thathelp create a communal living atmosphere. According toChahbazian, these are the qualities bringing tenants to theproperty.
