ENGLEWOOD, CO—The Opus Group says a lease has been executed and construction has commenced on an approximately 85,000-square-foot build-to-suit industrial building for Charter Communications in Englewood.

Located at the Compark Business Campus near C-470 and the I-25 Business Corridor, the facility will be adjacent to the recently completed building for Community Power Corporation and will be the eighth project Opus and previous Opus companies have developed in collaboration with Mike Vickers at the Compark Business Campus.

“Charter Communications will be an excellent addition to the current mix of tenants at Compark,” said Marshall Burton, executive vice president of Opus Development Company, L.L.C. “We have a long history working in this business campus and we're excited to establish Charter Communications in a great location.”

The facility will include approximately 60,000-square-feet of office space, conference rooms and break areas, including a mezzanine level. The remaining space will be dedicated to a data center lab facility for the growing company.

The project is scheduled for completion in October 2014.

Opus Development Company, L.L.C. is the developer, Opus Design Build, L.L.C. is the design-builder and Opus AE Group, L.L.C. is the architect on this project. Burkett Design and Cator, Ruma & Associates are the architect and engineer, respectively, for tenant improvements.

David Hazlett of Colliers International represented Opus and Jim Wachholz of DTZ represented Charter Communications in the lease transaction.
