MONTGOMERY, TX—Beacon Land Development saysthat PGA Tour superstar Tiger Woods and hiscompany, Tiger Woods Design, will design the18-hole golf course at Bluejack National, aworld-class private club and community currently under developmentin Montgomery, near Houston. Construction of the golf course isexpected to begin during the summer of 2014 with completion slatedfor the fall of 2015. Bluejack National is scheduled to be thefirst golf course designed by Tiger Woods to open in the U.S.

Formerly the home of Blaketree National GolfClub, Bluejack National is set among 755acres of gently rolling and beautifully wooded countrysidedotted with natural lakes and streams. The original golf course waspopular with Houston-area players; however, Bluejack National'sdevelopers believe a completely new design is required to make thebest use of the area's spectacular terrain and natural viewcorridors. Tiger Woods, the world's number-one-ranked player andwinner of 14 major golf championships, was selected to design thenew course following numerous conversations and site visits withBeacon Land Development.
