WHITE PLAINS, NY— Scott Adan, Ph.D., P.E.,S.E., SECB, a nationally recognized expert in earthquake andseismic analysis, has joined IVI International,Inc. as director of seismic assessment services for theWhite Plains, NY-based firm.
In his new position at IVI, a global provider of integratedconstruction risk management and due diligence services, Dr. Adanwill consult institutional mortgagees and investor clients onseismic risk assessment, mitigation, and structuralimprovements.
Dr. Adan has more than 23 years of experience in civil andstructural engineering. A member of the EarthquakeEngineering Research Institute, he was recently named toEERI's Concrete Coalition Advisory Committee. He is also a memberof the Structural Engineer's Association ofCalifornia. His honors include an Award of Merit by SEAONCand a President's Award for Outstanding Service by theStructural Engineer's Association ofWashington.
