MINNEAPOLIS—Many builders and developers have experienced stronggrowth in the past couple of years, and Opus Design Build,L.L.C. is no different. In response, the Minnesota firmhas just hired Christy Lewis for its newly createdposition of director of business development.
“In the past, we've had a single position that was focused onboth development and design/build construction work,” DaveBangasser, president and chief executive officer of OpusDesign Build, tells GlobeSt.com. This new position, however, is“solely focused on our third-party design/build construction and ispart of a renewed effort to increase our activity in thatsector.”
“We've been steadily increasing our business by about 20%year-over-year,” Bangasser adds, “and believe that will continuefor 2014.” Design/build currently comprises about 35% to 50% ofOpus' work.
