SAN FRANCISCO—Developers have a plan to convert the KRON TV headquarters at 1001 Van Ness Ave. to as many as 200 housing units after the station moves to new space later this year.

A partnership between South Beach Partners and Oryx Partners acquired the 106,777-square-foot building from KRON's parent company, according to a report in the San Francisco Business Times. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The station plans to move to a new space in the north waterfront later this year.

Oryx Partners will manage the redevelopment of the property, which is zoned for up to 200 units of multifamily. The development entity is made up of three principals with real estate and development backgrounds including Juan Carlos Wallace, who recently worked for SKS Real Estate Partners, attorney John Ramsbacher, and Laura Billings, founder of Sage Green Development, the Times reports.
