FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—Commercial and multifamily real estate firmStiles reports it has hired JustinSiemens, formerly of Federal Realty Investment Trust, asits director of commercial real estate development.

Stationed at Stiles' headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, he willreport to Stiles Chief Development Officer RobertBreslau. The company says Siemens will focus on sourcingnew commercial development opportunities in core markets throughoutFlorida as the company aims to grow its retail and officedevelopment pipeline in the Southeast.

“Justin's prior experience provides a wealth of benefit toStiles,” says Breslau. “He is a true deal hunter who can becreative in arranging complex transactions. Also, due to hisdiverse background, he brings a comprehensive approach to atransaction and can manage challenges that might surface fromacquisition to development.”

At Federated Realty, he oversaw FRIT's Florida portfolio,managed financial operations and implemented key value-add andredevelopment strategies. During his time with FRIT, Siemens wasalso a financial analyst for the trust's east coast acquisitionsdepartment, covering major markets in the Northeast, Mid-Atlanticand Florida.

Prior to FRIT, Siemens was acquisitions director at CompsonHolding Corp., an affiliate of Florida-based Compson Development,where he was responsible for deal origination, financial analysis,capital sourcing and structuring for commercial real estatedevelopment and acquisition opportunities across a range of producttypes. He has also held positions with BankAtlantic CommercialMortgage Capital, Cohen Financial and Holliday Fenoglio Fowler.
