BULLHEAD CITYAn $18 million assisted livingfacility broke ground in Brookfield Communities'Fox Creek master-planned development. Joshua Springs will be a95,300-square-foot facility with 74 assisted living apartments and30 apartments specifically built for the memory care residents.

The facility will be built in Fox Creek, one of the region'smaster-planned communities with thousands of homes and residents.Joshua Springs will be located adjacent to a planned five-acremedical office complex anchored by five 7,500-square-foot medicaloffice buildings, targeted and marketed to medical/physicianpractices and health-related service providers. The care facilityis expected to create more than 50 full-time jobs.

Phil Petersen, founder and president ofBrookfield Communities, the developer of Fox Creek, tellsGlobeSt.com, “The site is located on BullheadParkway and is surrounded by new residential development where thedemographic is 50-plus. The idea is that these folks will haveparents who will move into the facility. It's a great fit for thearea. Bullhead City is the perfect sized market for this type ofuse. It's a natural draw with the casinos, and Laughlin—it's theright demographic.”
