PORTLAND, OR—A plan for a spec-developed 493,000-squarefoot logistics center here has been announced byPCCP, LLC and joint venture partner SpechtDevelopment, Inc.

The 28-acre site of the project is in the Airport Waysubmarket located north of the city along theColumbia River.

Interstate Crossroads Distribution Center isplanned as a crossdocked distribution facility will offer 32' clearheight and sufficient bay depths to divide the building intomultiple suites if necessary. The prime industrial submarket iofAirport Way offers benefits from easy access to the Port ofPortland, Portland International Airport and Interstates205 and 5.

“We see this project as a strategic investment for PCCP,” saidMichael Hoyt, vice president with PCCP, LLC. “Inaddition to working with Specht, an experienced and provendeveloper and owner in the Portland area, the Airport Way submarkethas a pent-up demand for large-block space that can accommodateusers requiring more than 100,000 square feet. Thisinstitutional-quality project will meet a need for corporate usersin a region that is growing at a rate well above the nationalaverage.”

The JV plans to break ground on the projectin June with completion anticipated for the summerof 2015.
