ROCKVILLE, MD—Federal Realty Investment Trust of Rockville, MD has scheduled a ribbon cutting for its $4.8-million renovation of its The Crest at Congressional Plaza apartment community here for Friday, June 6.
The renovation, designed by architect Mark McInturff, local interior designer Mary Lohre, and landscape architect Lila Fenderick, includes a new outdoor cafe area, new swimming pool and lounge area, updated patios for some apartments, improved amenity spaces, and upgrades to apartment interiors to create what the company describes as a “Zen-inspired residential community.”
Interior improvements include new porcelain flooring, modern luxury kitchens, hotel-inspired bathrooms and a designer lighting package. "We are excited to unveil the new Crest at Congressional Plaza and showcase the enriched living experience residents will now have," says Robin McBride, vice president, Mid-Atlantic Region Chief Operating Officer for Federal Realty.
The 146-unit Crest at Congressional Plaza is managed by Bethesda, MD-based ROSS Management Services.
