WASHINGTON, DC—Local company Fundrise, one ofthe first crowdfunding platforms to take aim at the commercial realestate sector, has reached another a milestone: it raised$31 million in a financing round led byRenren Inc., Martin Burger and Tal Kerret, the CEO and CIOof Silverstein Properties, and the CollaborativeFund.
"This is the largest Series A financing for an equitycrowdfunding company," Ben Miller, co-founder,along with his brother Dan, of the company, tellsGlobeSt.com.
Other strategic investors in the company include RichBoyle, former Chairman/CEO of Loopnet;Scott Plank, formerly of UnderArmour; California real estate developer ChrisRising; Ackman
