SAN DIEGO—The ConAm Group of companies has appointed George Lloyd as its executive vice president and head of acquisitions. Lloyd will be a key member of the company's senior management team and will be responsible for formulating and executing ConAm's acquisition strategy.

“We are very excited for George to lead our acquisition team,” said Chaz Mueller, ConAm's president and chief executive officer. “He is a very talented investment professional and I am confident he will be successful in identifying attractive opportunities for us.”

Lloyd is a 21-year veteran of the apartment business who has acquired over 17,000 units representing approximately $3.9 billion of multifamily assets. He had a 12-year tenure at Archstone in Denver and Southern California, and most recently spent over three years at Fairfield Residential where he oversaw acquisitions in the western U.S. Lloyd holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University.

The appointment follows an extensive search process conducted by Korn Ferry International, a leading executive search firm.
