MIAMI—Another condo project is breaking ground in the emerging East Edgewater neighborhood. But Biscayne Beach, a 51-story waterfront tower, is bringing something a little different to Miami's urban core: a private man-made beach.

Located at 711 NE 29th Street along Biscayne Bay, Biscayne Beach is a development of Eastview Development and GTIS Partners. The luxury condo project is set to open in 2016.

“Recognizing Miami's status as an international city and the special waterfront location of the site, we knew that is was the right place for us to invest in,” says Robert Vahradian, senior managing director of New York-based GTIS. “East Edgewater's central location at the crosshairs of Miami's landmark art and cultural destinations, major business centers, and luxury retail development in the adjacent Design District, makes it an ideal location for luxury residential development.”

Miami's East Edgewater neighborhood lies just north of Downtown Miami and directly across the bay from Miami Beach, between the Julia Tuttle and Venetian Causeways. Next door, the Design District is home to high-end shopping brands like Hermés, Prada, and Dior, with some of the city's most unique artistry coming from the nearby Midtown and Wynwood neighborhoods. Also nearby are venues like the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the Perez Art Museum Miami, the upcoming Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, AmericanAirlines Arena, and Brickell City Centre.

“We remain committed to delivering a building where residents will enjoy the highest quality in design and lifestyle, including activating one of Miami's greatest natural amenities—Biscayne Bay,” says Reid Boren, a partner at Eastview. Biscayne Beach's will offer a members-only Beach Club with a zero-entry pool, an elevated sandy beach with private cabanas, and a restaurant and bar.

Biscayne Beach lets residents choose between one-, two- and three-bedroom condos, or six two-story upper penthouses with private rooftop pools and garden terraces. Preconstruction prices range from units in the $400,000s to multi-million dollar penthouses.

“Our sales success thus far is a testament to the fact that East Edgewater is Miami's hottest new neighborhood,” says Alicia Cervera Lamadrid, managing partner of Cervera Real Estate, the project's exclusive sales and marketing partner. “Buyers hailing from countries across the globe have selected East Edgewater as the place for their next home and Biscayne Beach as their address of choice.”
