SAN FRANCISCO—Lennar Urban's San Francisco Shipyard has opened both an on-site Welcome Center and Downtown Sales Center. The developer says these activities coincide with the official release of the first 88 modern urban homes at The San Francisco Shipyard.
The Welcome Center, located at 11 Innes Court, will provide visitors a firsthand view of The San Francisco Shipyard's waterfront location and new homes while the Downtown Sales Center, offering an introduction to The San Francisco Shipyard, will be situated in SoMa at 645 Howard Street.
The San Francisco Shipyard will be a collection of new condominium and townhome residences crafted from the culture of a historic San Francisco neighborhood and featuring a contemporary design with exciting amenities such as car charging stations, pocket parks, private patios and rooftop decks. Lennar says residents of The Shipyard will be drawn to its walkability and 25 acres of manicured parks and trails as well as the homes' stylish architecture, design features, and easy access to downtown San Francisco, the Peninsula, and East Bay.
“Nearly 150 years after it was first established, we are overjoyed to unfold a new chapter at The San Francisco Shipyard with the start of home sales and the opening of a Welcome Center and Downtown Sales Center,” said Sheryl McKibben, vice president of sales & marketing at Lennar Urban. “We are confident that this multi-billion-dollar initiative will breathe fresh life and energy into the largely vacant tract of land along the southeastern waterfront while helping to meet the extraordinarily high demand for modern new homes in San Francisco.”
The Welcome Center and Downtown Sales Center will offer guests a historical narrative of the Shipyard's past, in-depth understanding of the vision and transformation of the neighborhood, and first glimpse at the vibrant lifestyle afforded by The San Francisco Shipyard. The San Francisco Shipyard's features will be presented, lending insight into everything from floor plans to finishes. Guests of the Welcome Center will have the opportunity to stay indoors and lounge by the fireplace or sit outside on the deck where they can enjoy panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline and Bay.
McKibben continued, “This is one of San Francisco's best kept secrets. I can't wait for our visitors to step on-site and take in these incredible waterfront views.”
For those visiting The San Francisco Shipyard, a fully-furnished model home will be completed for viewings in late summer. Soon prospective buyers will have the opportunity to go on hardhat tours, allowing for a picturesque immersion into the community.
The San Francisco Shipyard's debut encompasses 88 contemporary urban homes, featuring views of the City's skyline and Bay. Slated for initial occupancy in late summer 2014, Olympia will comprise two- and three-bedroom multi-level townhomes with a minimum of one parking space each in a private attached garage. Merchant, which will be complete in winter 2014, will represent four stories of 63 spacious condominiums set over a podium with dedicated parking.
Crafted for the style conscious, Olympia townhomes and Merchant condominiums will have a modern design ethos, boasting natural materials that convey a sense of warmth while maintaining contemporary clean lines. Olympia and Merchant will also present an array of amenities and features – many of which are unique to city living – including access to the adjacent pocket park, spectacular city views, private decks and patios, and walk-in closets. Top-of-the-line standard interior finishes will include hardwood floors and custom cabinetry, stone countertops, tile bathroom flooring and surrounds, and Bosch kitchen appliances.
Pricing at The San Francisco Shipyard will start in the mid $400,000s for Merchant condominiums and in the mid $600,000s for Olympia townhomes.
The Welcome Center will be open on weekends from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and weekdays by appointment only after 3:30 p.m. The Downtown Sales Center will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; shuttle service will depart downtown at 3:30 p.m. for tours of The San Francisco Shipyard on select Tuesdays and Thursdays. On-site guests will be offered model home viewings as of late summer, an overview of the current and planned neighborhood amenities, as well as sips and bites provided by local businesses such as the San Francisco Mead Co. on select days.
