ANAHEIM, CA—Tricorp Hearn Corp., Anaheim Resort HotelLLC and PK Architects have completedconstruction of the Springhill Suites by Marriotthere. The hotel is the newest member of the Marriott family inOrange County and is located on Ball Rd. in the AnaheimResort District.

GlobeSt.com was unable to reach the parties involved beforedeadline to determine the total construction costsfor the project. The 79,000-square-foot, 120-room hotel features anoutdoor pool and spa; porte cochere; meeting spaces; kitchen,dining and communal spaces; and an exercise facility. Mechanizedshading panels and storefront glazing allow for comfortable use ofdaylight in the interior.

Tricorp Hearn acted as general contractor on the project, whichincluded demolition of an existing restaurant, an abatement planand adherence to the strict Anaheim Resort District buildingrequirements. The hotel was constructed with a pre-manufacturedlight-gauge structural-steel framing system, which has strength,fire resistance, mold resistance, construction safety and schedulebenefits.
