ANAHEIM, CA—Tricorp Hearn Corp., Anaheim Resort Hotel LLC and PK Architects have completed construction of the Springhill Suites by Marriott here. The hotel is the newest member of the Marriott family in Orange County and is located on Ball Rd. in the Anaheim Resort District.

GlobeSt.com was unable to reach the parties involved before deadline to determine the total construction costs for the project. The 79,000-square-foot, 120-room hotel features an outdoor pool and spa; porte cochere; meeting spaces; kitchen, dining and communal spaces; and an exercise facility. Mechanized shading panels and storefront glazing allow for comfortable use of daylight in the interior.

Tricorp Hearn acted as general contractor on the project, which included demolition of an existing restaurant, an abatement plan and adherence to the strict Anaheim Resort District building requirements. The hotel was constructed with a pre-manufactured light-gauge structural-steel framing system, which has strength, fire resistance, mold resistance, construction safety and schedule benefits.

According to Tony Moayed, CEO of Tricorp Hearn, “This is an attractive hospitality product in a prime location. It has been well received by Marriott and the tourist market in Anaheim.”

Hotel development in Orange County has been active lately. As GlobeSt.com reported last week, Pacific Hospitality Group and R.D. Olson Development have broken ground on Paséa Hotel & Spa, an eight-story, 250-room luxury hotel to be integrated with the 191,000-square-foot Pacific City retail and entertainment center also under development here by DJM Capital Partners. The parties involved declined to reveal to GlobeSt.com the total estimated construction costs for the project. Stay tuned for an upcoming story on GlobeSt.com featuring an interview with Bob Olson of R.D. Olson Development on the project and its impact on the local community.
