MIAMI—Miami is about to get a lot more entertaining as a luxurymovie theater chain announces a significant expansion in theregion. iPic Theaters just inked a lease with DezerDevelopment that will see a new eight-screen,40,000-square-foot luxury movie theater come online at North MiamiBeach's Intracoastal Mall.
Dezer recently acquired the Intracoastal Mall, which sits on a26-acre site alongside the Intracoastal Waterway. The mall offers234,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and commercialbusinesses.
Dezer will start construction on iPic Theaters North Miami Beachwithin 90 days. The theater is slated to open fall 2015. It's oneof there iPic theaters currently under development in GreaterMiami.
