PARIS—Following the growth of its real estate activity on behalfof institutional clients, La Française has decidedto restructure its real estate services for institutional clientsby creating a dedicated entity, La Française RealEstate Partners. This entity will act on behalf of itsclients by implementing dedicated solutions based on core /core + value added and opportunistic investment strategies inFrench real estate.

To ensure the development of this entity, La Française hasapproached one of the best-known figures in the world of Frenchreal estate asset management, Patrice Genre, founder and former managing director of DTZ AssetManagement. Accordingly, the new entity will be a jointventure with 65% held by La Française Real EstateManagers and 35% held by its management. The launchof this partner will allow La Française to enrich and restructureits institutional services in order to best serve our Frenchclients, as well as those international clients interested ininvesting in the French real estate market.

“Our system for providing real estate expertise has been madestronger today with the announced creation of this joint venture,”said Patrick Rivière, managing director of LaFrançaise. “Once again it is a matter of people, encounters andshared values with regard to the search for increasinglyrelevant expert solutions for our clients. With assets now greaterthan $20 billion, La Française Group, through its partnership withForum Partners, is ranked among the top 25 European real estatefund managers.”

In the last 18 months, La Française has grown its institutionalbusiness through various measures, which has included the signingof a strategic partnership with Forum Partners inSeptember 2013 and the acquisition of Cushman andWakefield Investors last March.

Working with La Française seemed to be an obvious step,” saidGenre. “A group like La Française is an idealpartner. Its position at the intersection between the worlds offinance and real estate and the abundance and depth of itsservices make it a preferred asset manager for large investors. Thepartnership within La Française Real Estate Partners allows us tooffer real estate asset management servicesspecifically dedicated to institutional clients and to expandbeyond classic Core / Core + strategies to Value Added andOpportunistic strategies so that we can offer greater profitabilityto investors.”

|

“We clearly needed a separate system and organisation to meetthe demands of institutional clients for Core / Core + orValue Added strategies,” Marc Bertrand, managingdirector of La Française noted. “Targeting riskier assets, in termsof geographic location and rental risk means we can targetreturns of between 10 and 15%. These are very attractive butneed precision in execution, in-depth customisation, tailoredreporting and monitoring.”
