MIAMI—You might call it a renaissance on the Miami River. Thearea is seeing a burst of new development activity as Miami'scommercial real estate market continues booming.Related Group recently unveiled plans for OneBrickell, HCD Developers is proposing a Miami MegaYacht there, and late last year Seasalt & Pepper Brasserie andLounge opened.

The Edge on Brickell is the latest to join the Miami Rivermovement as the only new luxury residential development on theriverfront. The 58-story, 127-unit residential tower will rise 631feet in what some are already calling a work of art.

Here's one reason why: the building will feature a 600-footexterior mural illuminated from the inside of the work itself.Designed by Dutch artist Jan Hendrix, the mural will add a uniqueicon to the Miami nighttime skyline.
