SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA—The County of San BernardinoEconomic Development Agency has been awarded the2014 Achievement Award in the category ofCommunity/Economic Development by theNational Association of Counties (NACo). The awardrecognizes the agency for its State of the CountyEvent.
All told, the County of San Bernardino received 31Achievement Awards from NACo this year for its innovativeprograms and services, including top honors for theCountywide Vision as well as the State of theCounty event, which promotes the Vision.
NACo is the only national organization that represents countygovernments in the United States. NACo started an annualAchievement Award Program in 1970 to recognizeinnovative county government programs. Awards are given in21 different categories including children andyouth, criminal justice, county administration, environmentalprotection, information technology, health, and many more.
