SALT LAKE CITY, UT—CBRE says construction hasbegun on Building 1 at Meridian Commerce Center,here. The new industrial listing is being overseen by RadDye, Tom Dischmann and Jeff Richards ofCBRE, Salt Lake.
Building 1 is a 231,770-square-foot, class-Aindustrial building being developed by IDIGazeley, a prominent industrial developer. It is aspeculative project designed as big-box space with32-foot ceiling heights, located just off of BangerterHighway and California Avenue.
“There is great demand for high-quality industrial space in SaltLake right now, and Meridian Commerce Center islocated in an area that is experiencing some of the highest levelsof activity within Utah's industrial market,” said Dye. “Because ofits proximity to major distribution outlets, the majority of newindustrial space along California Avenue is beingleased before construction of the buildings has even finished.”
