CHESAPEAKE, VA—Wood Partners, an Atlanta-based developer, hasannounced that a $39 million luxury apartment building here, underdevelopment for two years, has delivered. In addition, the 280-unitmultifamily community called Streets of Greenbrier, is already 81%leased.

The complex is located at 929 Wintercress Way, sited onapproximately 13.8 acres. It is also next to the Greenbrier Mall.KBS, Inc. was the general contractor, and Cline Design Associateswas the architect.

When Wood Partners announced it was beginning construction inMarch 2012, it estimated that the community would be open for leasein January 2013, with construction completed in August 2013. Beforeit began construction it had been under development for severalyears.

The company's footprint in the Mid-Atlantic has been expandingsteadily. Last year the company broke ground on a $60 million project in Germantown,MD. Alta Liberty Mill is a 304-unit apartmentcommunity with 11,900 square feet of commercial space locateddirectly across the Germantown MARC commuter rail station.

Leasing is expected to begin this fall, and construction will becompleted by autumn 2015.

Wood Partners also broke ground last year on Station 650 inAlexandria, VA. That project will deliver 183 units.
