MIAMI—Danet Linares, vice chairman ofBlanca Commercial Real Estate, is the now thechair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's New World CenterCommittee. The committee aims to strengthen the Downtown Miamibusiness community's voice by engaging decision makers at thelocal, state and federal level—and by recruiting new members to thecommittee.

Linares, who also serves on the board of the MiamiDowntown Development Authority, will work with vice chairTadd Schwartz, founder of Schwartz MediaStrategies, to support the organization's mission.Specifically, the duo will lead the charge to spur furtherrevitalization of Greater Downtown Miami by making the city'swaterfront more accessible to the public and improving street-levelconditions.
