LOS ANGELES—American Tire Distributors hassigned a 300,000-square-foot lease with Roll Real EstateDevelopment for Paramount Logistics Park.In an earlier story, GlobeSt.com reported that theindependent tire supplier signed a 20-year lease at theindustrial park for a 1-million-square-footbuild-to-suit building, in addition to 295,000-square-feet alreadyleased at the center. This new lease brings the company's totalleased space to 1.6 million square feet.

American Tire plans to consolidate all of its West Coast officesat Paramount Logistics Park. “After extensive research on numerousdistribution locations throughout the west, American Tire decidedto remain at Paramount Logistics Park, and has been double ortripling down on space requirements ever since,” JohnBalestra, Roll Real Estate president, tellsGlobeSt.com.

With the new lease, American Tire will occupy three buildings atthe park, including the 1-million-square-foot build-to-suit thatbroke ground in April of this year. “In December of 2008, AmericanTire acquired Am-Pac Tire Distributors Inc./TirePros, who had already been leasing 42,000-square-feet atthe park. American Tire inherited that space and then expanded thefootprint to more than 175,000 square feet less than a year later,”Balestra says. American Tires will take occupancy by the end of theyear.
