SOLOMONS, MD—The Department of the Navy has tapped Alvarez & Marsal Real Estate Advisory Services to assist in a search for a developer for a 12-acre site at the Navy Recreation Center Solomons. The Navy first issued the request for quotes in 2010 and interested parties have until Sept. 1, 2014 to submit proposals.

The military agency is pursuing an Enhanced Use Lease deal there and wants one company to develop, operate and maintain the facilities within the site for the term of the lease, as well as provide cash and/or in-kind consideration to the Navy.

NRC Solomons is the Navy's largest outdoor recreation facility and provides both indoor and outdoor lodging as well as amenities. It is located at the intersection of the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay about 70 miles outside of Washington, DC.

The solicitation and offer submittal information can be found in the FedBizOpps website.
