HOUSTON–The Retail Connection and LongWharf Real Estate Partners have purchased WoodparkPlaza. The 143,850-square-foot shopping center was soldfor an undisclosed sum.

Located on the northwest corner of I 45 and Briar Rock Road inthe Woodlands, the retail center was sold by a joint venture ofEagle Equity and NDC CapitalPartners.

“Woodpark Plaza is a center which will provide value creationthrough a remerchandising strategy and aesthetic upgrades. Withconstruction of the 12,000 employee Exxon Mobile 385-acre officecomplex just 1.8 miles from center, leasing momentum is gainingfast,” says Steve Hefner, president of ConnectedAcquisitions, The Retail Connection.

The shopping center is 100% occupied, with anchor tenantsJo-Ann Stores, Ashley Furnitureand Golfsmith. Other tenants include SAS Shoes,HoneyBaked Ham, The Rustic Mile and Fitness Unlimited.

This purchase is The Retail Connection's second in the Houstonarea and brings the company's local portfolio to more than 500,000square feet
