AUSTIN–The new world headquarters for HIDGlobal recently received LEED Platinumcertification, making it the only industrial manufacturing facilityin Texas to hold this title. The $35 million, 250,000-square-footfacility was constructed to consolidate corporate functions,manufacturing, assembly and test operations, distribution and salesoperations.

“LEED Platinum certification for our WorldHeadquarters further elevates our award-winning facilityas a leading Austin sustainability showcase and a Texas businesssuccess story,” says Kevin Teehan, senior directorof strategic operations and corporate sustainability with HIDGlobal. “This achievement signifies our Green byDesign philosophy and continuing focus on sustainabilityexcellence.”

Houston-based Harvey Cleary Builders was thecommercial general contractor for the project, while Austin-basedLive Oak-Gottesman was the developer. Theheadquarters was designed by Studio 8Architects.
