ATLANTA—Simon is putting a mixed-use spin onPhipps Plaza. The retail real estate behemoth isadding luxury multifamily units to its developmentin Atlanta's Buckhead district.
Dubbed Domain at Phipps Plaza, Simon is partnering withColumbus Realty Partners to build the project.When completed, the mixed-use development will offer 319 mid-rise,urban-style luxury units with studio, one- and two-bedroomapartments.
Dewayne Herbert, Phipps Plaza's mall manager,explains the strategy behind adding luxurymultifamily to the high-end retail project. "Theaddition of these high-quality residences at Phipps Plaza,” hesays, “expands our ability to deliver a lifestyle embellished withluxury and quality, and creates an exciting new place for Atlantansto call home."
