CHICAGO—GlenStar Properties, LLC has justbrought Bill Rogalla on board as a principal inits Chicago office.

Company officials say the 30-year veteran will play a key rolein expanding its footprint, especially in the Southeast andSouthwest regions of the US, and its expansion into the metroChicago industrial market. Rogalla is primarily known as a nationalacquisition, disposition and development expert.

“Bill brings a wealth of experience to our firm especially inmarkets where GlenStar seeks to expand,” says GlenStar principalMichael Klein. “His diverse experience andnational exposure complements our overall growth strategy and weare delighted he has joined our team.”

Most recently, Rogalla was with Origin CapitalPartners, a Chicago-based, private real estate firm, wherehe served as president.

Before that he served as senior vice president ofacquisitions/dispositions for the Central US atKBS. In 2005, he established the Chicago officefor the Newport Beach-based firm. Acquisitions topped $2.9 billionand disposition of institutional grade assets totaled $900 million.Buyers and sellers included JP Morgan,Hines, TIAA,Prudential, INVESCO – amongothers.

Rogalla has completed more than $6 billion in transactionsacross various market segments including office, industrial, lifesciences, multi-family and retail sectors throughout the US. Hecurrently serves as a committee member with the March ofDimes; a board member for DePaul University's RealEstate Alumni; and as a mentor at DePaulUniversity's Graduate School.
