HOUSTON—GlobeSt.com has exclusively learned that a majormanufacturing plant, located in the shadow of downtown Houston, isrelocating its vinyl flooring operations to a sister plant inFlorence, AL, which opening the way for a potentially massiveredevelopment project, according to sources. BoydCommercial LLC/CORFAC International, a leadingfull-service commercial real estate provider serving the Houstonmetropolitan market, is listing for sale the 21-acre site less thana mile from Downtown Houston.
Texas Tile Manufacturing LLC, an affiliate ofTarkett USA Inc. plans to vacate its facilitylocated at 1705 Oliver St. this summer. The company hasoccupied the site since 1932, constructing in excess of 750,000square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space in the ensuingyears.
The property is being marketed for sale by ConradBernard, principal with Boyd Commercial/CORFACInternational as well as the firm's founder, MikeBoyd.
