SACRAMENTO, CA—Avison Young, Toronto, hasacquired Sacramento-based commercial real estate brokerage companyAguer Havelock Associates, Inc., a former memberof the NAI network.

Mark Rose, chair and CEO of Avison Young, saidAguer Havelock's business will add brokerage services to AvisonYoung's current property management and lease administrationofferings in Sacramento, and further expands the company'sbusiness-line coverage in Northern California.

The change in ownership adds five new employees to AvisonYoung's operations in Sacramento.

Thomas Aguer becomes a principal and managingdirector of Avison Young's Sacramento office. He will focus hisefforts on overseeing the growth and development of Avison Young'spresence in the Sacramento region, as well as servicing new andexisting clients, coordinating the local recruiting program, andmanaging the day-to-day operations of the office.

In addition, Matt Havelock becomes a principaland will assist Aguer in expanding Avison Young's Sacramentobrokerage and management operations while continuing to serviceclients. During their commercial real estate careers, Aguer andHavelock have completed class A office investment sales and leasingtransactions spanning more than 10 million square feet.

Also joining Avison Young in Sacramento from Aguer HavelockAssociates are: Elisa Carlini-Soria, seniorproperty accountant; Dana Shaw, property manager;and Dana Jones administrative coordinator.

Avison Young opened its first Northern California office inApril 2012 in San Francisco, with Nick Slonekjoining as a principal and managing director of the NorthernCalifornia region. The company opened its Sacramento office in June2013 and its San Mateo office in July 2013. AvisonYoung has nine offices in California.

This announcement comes on the heels of Avison Young's acquiringMontreal-based project management firm Roy et TremblayInc. on July 3.
