ATLANTA—Buckhead is getting another office tower— Atlanta's first new major office project to be started in seven years. Tishman Speyer is launching construction on its Three Alliance Center project on Aug. 1 with deliver expected in Sept. 2016.
The 30-story, 500,000-square-foot office building will complete the Alliance Center development, which includes two office towers and a five-star residential tower in Buckhead. Three Alliance Center will stand closest to Buckhead's gateway intersection of GA 400 and The Buckhead Loop.
“Atlanta has served as the Southeast region's business and cultural hub for many decades,” says Tishman Speyer co-CEO Jerry Speyer. “World-class companies with a major presence want to be in the best buildings at the best locations. Our objective is to produce outstanding properties to serve their needs in Atlanta, just as we do elsewhere around the globe.”
Designed by Mack Scogin of Mack Scogin Merrill Elam, Three Alliance Center will incorporate the most modern design technology with a crisp faceted glass curtain wall, and will be built to LEED Gold specifications. Tenants will have direct access to both highway and MARTA transportation. Turner Construction will serve as the project's general contractor.
“After several years of minimal construction, tenant demand for class A office space in Atlanta is currently very strong, with the Buckhead submarket leading the way,” says Tishman regional managing director Jim Meyer. “Now is a good time for us to take advantage of that pent-up demand and deliver a spectacular new addition to the Buckhead skyline.”
