COLUMBIA, MO—A joint venture between Lutz Real EstateInvestments and Harrison Street Real EstateCapital has just acquired Campus ViewApartments, a 656-bed off-campus student housing communitythat serves students attending the University ofMissouri. This was the venture's sixth student housingacquisition. In the past two years, Lutz and Harrison have acquiredmore than 2,250 beds at four major universities around thecountry.

Campus View is one of the closest, large-scale student housingcommunities to Mizzou's Columbia campus. The development featurestwo- and four-bedroom units along with a clubhouse, swimming pool,fitness center and business center. The University master leases anumber of beds at Campus View, ensuring a certain cash flow. Thepartners did not disclose the price.

“The acquisition of Campus View Apartments represented anexcellent opportunity to expand our portfolio with a well-locatedstudent housing community in a Tier 1 collegiate market,” saysAdam M. Lutz, president and chief executiveofficer of Lutz. “Furthermore, we expect to create value through acombination of interior unit renovations, clubhouse upgrades, andamenity enhancements.”
