SADDLE BROOK, NJ – CBRE Group has closed twoindustrial lease transactions of more than 400,000 square-feet eachfor Home Depot and FergusonEnterprises. CBRE EVPs MindyLissner and William Waxman led eachtransaction team.


“As evidenced by these two large deals in the sector, homebuilding and home improvement are on the upswing, particularly inNew Jersey,” says Waxman. “This echoes the national trend inincreased construction spending, which marks an economic upticksteered by the residential market. The expansion of Home Depot andFerguson's operations in the state shows a clear sign ofimprovement for the real estate industry and for the economyoverall.”


For Home Depot, Lissner,Waxman and CBRE Atlanta'sTony Kepano secured 467,987 square feet of spaceat 100 Riverside Drive in the Keasbey section ofWoodbridge, NJ. On behalf of Ferguson Enterprises,CBRE secured 449,981 sq. ft. of space at50 Meadowlands Parkway in Secaucus, NJ.


Ferguson Enterprises, a plumbing and buildingsupplier for kitchens, bathrooms and lighting, signed a 10-yeardeal at 50 Meadowlands Parkway with six months offree rent and two options to expand. The company will use its newlocation as a warehouse and distribution center. 50Meadowlands Parkway was chosen for its close proximity toNew York, and regional access to suppliers and showrooms. Theproperty was also one of the few available NJ industrial spacesthat met Ferguson's large space requirement.


Hartz Mountain Industries, the owner of50 Meadowlands Parkway, plans to upgrade thefacility with ESFR sprinklers, expanded loading capabilities,32-foot clear ceilings and T5-lighting.
