CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA--Homewood Suites by Hilton has entered the Charlottesville market with the opening of its newest property, Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlottesville, VA. The four-story hotel features 150 suites and is owned by Albemarle Suites, LLC, and managed by Heritage Hospitality Management, Inc.

Charlottesville hospitality assets benefit from a number of diverse trends in the local economy. There are the historical sites for which the city is famous; it is also home to the University of Virginia. This elite school attracts a significant visitor flow all on its own, ranging from parents of students to guest lecturers and researchers. The city, which is home to SNL Research's headquarters, also has a small but flourishing business community.

The hotel is located at 2036 India Dr. and within walking distance to Seminole Square Shopping Center and the shops at Stonefield. The University of Virginia is located less than a mile from the hotel and the historic Downtown Mall, one of the longest pedestrian malls in the United States, is a short drive away. Other nearby attractions include the Discovery Museum, James Monroe's estate, Ash Lawn–Highland, and Monticello the home of Thomas Jefferson.
