SEATTLE—Global architecture and design firmCallison will be acquired byARCADIS, the leading global natural and builtasset design and consultancy firm. Callison plans to join ARCADIS,which also owns the built asset consultancy firm ECHARRIS, architectural design firm RTKL,and Asia's leading construction program planning and valuemanagement consultancy Langdon & Seah, in thethird quarter of 2014.

"This move willbroaden our capabilities, add global reach and benefit our valuedclients and employees through additional service offerings."
ARCADIS is based in the Netherlands, employs22,000 people, operates over 300 offices globallyand generates EUR2.5 billion in revenue annually. Callison is aglobal leader in Retail Design and Mixed-useCenters, with 11 offices on three continents. The companyprovides comprehensive services for top retail brands, developersand corporate clients globally.
Callison applies its design approach, "User Driven Design," for theretail market and across a wide range of other industries such asHospitality, Healthcare, Corporate Interiors and Mission Critical.The firm has a leading position in China, openingits first office in Shanghai nine years ago, followed by offices inBeijing and Guangzhou. Callisonis a top provider of mixed-use /commercial design for developmentsin China and throughout Asia.
