Peter Blanchard, principal,and Lee Barnes, vice president,represented both the seller, Hooper Holmes Inc.and the buyer, McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney &Carpenter. Hired by Hooper Holmes inOctober 2013, The Garibaldi Group was given thetask of disposing of the building, which was constructed in 1970 on8.39 acres.
The building offered a unique opportunity to be a fee simpleowner in the highly desirable area of Somerset County, withimmediate accessibility to the Mt. Airy Road/Interstate 287four-way interchange and also close proximity to other vehiculararteries such as Routes 78, 202 and 206.MDM&C, one of New Jersey's largest law firms,headquartered within five miles of the property, plans to use thebuilding for archival storage, reducing the need to outsourcearchiving to a third party provider.
The Garibaldi Group has been retained byMDM&C as its exclusive representative tomanage leasing approximately 20,000 square feet still available atthe site, in three building pods of approximately 5,000 square feeteach.
