DENVER—Architects John Portman and Associateshave unveiled design renderings for Union TowerWest, a mixed use currently under development in the LoDodistrict.

Plans for the project include a 180-key select-servicehotel, approximately 100,000 square feet of office space,and parking for 216 cars. The development is designed to interactwith the existing and planned urban context while contributing tothe vitality of the up-and-coming LoDo district which includes theUnion Station redevelopment as well as Denver's newestneighborhood, The Commons. The building's form andorientation maximizes views of the RockyMountains, the city and Sports AuthorityField at Mile High. Construction is expected to beginlater this fall.
