BOCA RATON, FL—Douglas Elliman is beating the expansion drum. The company just spread its South Florida wings to open a Boca Raton office.

Nita Summers has signed on as managing broker of the new office. She brings over 30 years of experience to Douglas, previously working with the likes of Prudential Florida Realty, Arvida Realty Services, and Coldwell Banker.

As both a managing broker and district manager in Palm Beach County, Summers has experience in listing, selling and marketing properties. She has also supported merger and acquisitions. In 2004 she launched Summers Properties to specialize in investment and commercial real estate.

Summers has served as the district sales manager for the Keyes Company, overseeing its Weston and Boca Raton residential and commercial sales offices. Her portfolio includes representation of Marrano Marc Equities, a development company from New York, in the sale of their prestigious 1200 Hillsboro Mile property in Hillsboro Beach with over $30 million of inventory sold at an average sales price of $1 million per unit.

Summers entered the real estate business in 1984 as an associate at Capital Homes Realty in upstate New York. She was a top listing and real estate agent and moved up the ranks to handle all aspects of the business as a manager of Prudential Manor Homes Latham/Loudonville office.
