WATERBURY, CT—HFF reports that the$27.15-million sale of the grocery-anchored WaterburyPlaza shopping center here has closed.


The 141,443-square-foot property was acquired by Toronto-basedSlate Properties, Inc. from Kimco RealtyCorp., which is headquartered in New Hyde Park, NY. HFFmarketed the property on behalf of Kimco.


Waterbury Plaza is located at 410 Reidville Drive, adjacent toInterstate 84, and approximately 16 miles north of New Haven. Thefully-leased center is anchored by Stop & Shopand Raymour & Flanigan.


Slate Retail REIT is an open-ended real estate investment trustfocused on U.S. grocery-anchored real estate. The REIT's portfolioincludes more than 30 properties located primarily in some of thetop 50 U.S. metro markets.
