WASHINGTON, DC—Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP has signed a lease for 37,500 square feet at Washington Square, a CBD office building at 1050 Connecticut Ave., NW, which is home to many law firms in the District.
Lerner Enterprises and the Tower Cos., both of Rockville, MD, are the landlords. Manatt, Phelps & Phillips was represented by Elizabeth K. Cooper, Creighton J. Armstrong, and Steve Spartan, Jr. of Jones Lang LaSalle. The building owners were represented by Brian R. Raher and Brian F. Tucker of Cushman and Wakefield.
Other tenants in the building include the law firm of Baker Hostetler, which signed a 15 year lease renewal and expansion for 100,000 square feet in December 2010 and the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, which expanded to 205,000 square feet in 2011. The American Bar Association signed lease for 61,000 square feet there in March 2012 and in March of this year Mercer, signed lease for 56,460 square feet.
