WASHINGTON, DC—Manatt Phelps & Phillips,LLP has signed a lease for 37,500 squarefeet at Washington Square, a CBD officebuilding at 1050 Connecticut Ave., NW, which ishome to many law firms in the District.

Lerner Enterprises and the TowerCos., both of Rockville, MD, are the landlords. Manatt,Phelps & Phillips was represented by Elizabeth K.Cooper, Creighton J. Armstrong, and Steve Spartan,Jr. of Jones Lang LaSalle. The buildingowners were represented by Brian R. Raher andBrian F. Tucker of Cushman andWakefield.

Other tenants in the building include the law firm of BakerHostetler, which signed a 15 year lease renewal and expansion for100,000 square feet in December 2010 and the law firm of Gibson,Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, which expanded to 205,000 square feet in2011. The American Bar Association signed lease for 61,000 squarefeet there in March 2012 and in March of this year Mercer, signedlease for 56,460 square feet.
