HOUSTON—Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, thelargest Big Brothers Big Sisters agency in the world, has purchaseda site near downtown Houston for its new headquarters. The site,totaling 23,505 square feet, is located at Washington and Franklinat the entrance to the central business district.

Randy Hopper, senior vice president with theHouston office of The Weitzman Group, handlednegotiations for Big Brothers Big Sisters LoneStar. Hopper worked nearly twoyears to identify the right property for the newheadquarters.

“We first considered buying anexisting building to considering a renovation project to finallyidentifying the ideal site at Washington and Franklin,” he said.“The land is located at the V where Washington and Franklin mergeand turn into Washington going into downtown. The site has anexisting building which will be demolished for this newheadquarters project.”
