SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL—Work continues on the 400 Sunny Isles mixed-use high-rise development here with an anticipated completion a year from now.
The project, which broke ground a year ago, held a topping off ceremony on Sept. 12 that was attended by more than 500 construction workers, supervisors, executives, Realtors, and local officials.
The 860,000-square-foot development is being built on the south side of the 163rd St. Bridge along the Intracoastal Waterway. The two 21-story towers will contain 15 stories of condominium residences atop a six-story pedestal with parking, restaurants, retail and residences.
Moss & Associates is the construction manager of 400 Sunny Isles, being developed by Key International and its strategic partner 13th Floor Investments. Chad Oppenheim of Miami designed the 400 Sunny Isles property and Kobi Karp of Miami is the architect of record.
Moss and Key International also teamed on the completed Ivy and Mint condominium towers in the Brickell area, and are now collaborating on its latest project with Key International and 13th Floor Investments: 1010 Brickell, a 47-story, 352-unit condo tower that is also under construction.
“There's no project quite like this one. That's why we believe that 400 Sunny Isles will take condo living to a new level,” says Moss Project Manager Jason Clark. “We're glad to help turn this into an iconic project in a neighborhood attracting notice from around the world.”
“Once completed, 400 Sunny Isles will be the waterfront luxury project by which all others in the market are measured,” 13th Floor Investment Chief Operating Officer Rey Melendi says.
