WASHINGTON, DC—The General Services Administration has inked a new 54,820-square lease at 1800 G St., NW with Blake Real Estate. The government agency is taking space on the third floor of the 608,000-square foot building in a 12-year term lease.

This lease brings the building, which is also called the Northwestern Building, back to full occupancy.

1800 G St. NW, is home to a number of government agencies as well as the World Bank.

Earlier this year, Blake Real Estate retained the Department of Veterans Affairs as a tenant in a 163,917-square foot renewal plus five-year lease-extension contract. GSA had issued a prospectus seeking possible new space for the agency, along with three others, in 2011.

Last year Blake Real Estate renewed the World Bank's lease plus expanded its footprint in the building, with the institution taking the top two floors of the building.
