ASHBURN, VA—DuPont Fabros Technology has openedthe doors to its sixth data center at the 1.6-million-square footAshburn corporate campus, ACC7. At 446,000 squarefeet and capable of delivering 41.6 megawatts of critical powerwhen fully developed, it is one of the largest multi-tenant datacenters in North America, the REIT says—and the largest in itsportfolio.

More to the point for users, it is offering some of the lowestoperating costs in the local market, which has a wealth of datacenter offerings.

Statements made during the REIT's latest earnings call in Julyput ACC7's operating costs at $17 to $18 a kilowatt per month. "Ouroperating expenses are actually lower than what we originallyprojected," CEO Hossein Fateh said during thecall.
