WASHINGTON, DC—Dirt has moved on another promising transit-oriented multifamily project: the Gallery Capitol Riverfront, a 13-story luxury apartment tower that will be sited atop the Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro station.

A joint venture development between the Donohoe Cos. and MetLife, the project is expected to deliver in the summer of 2016. Its street address will be 1111 New Jersey Ave., SE.

There will also be three levels of below grade parking and 11,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, most of which will be located at the corner of M Street and New Jersey Avenue. The building has been designed to meet LEED Silver accreditation.

Donohoe Development is the developer. Donohoe Construction is serving as general contractor. WDG Architecture, PLLC is the project architect. The landscape architect is Parker Rodriguez, Inc. and the civil engineer is Vika Capitol LLC. Hartman Design Group is the interior designer.
