BETHESDA, MD—Washington Property Co. has leased 110,979 square feet of office and retail space over the past few months throughout its Maryland and Virginia based assets.
The bulk of the leases were signed in Maryland, for a total of 72,416 square feet. The top lease was a renewal by LA Fitness of 48,422 square feet at 8616 Cameron St., in Silver Spring. Other buildings that saw activity included 8757 Georgia Ave., where 9,025 square feet was leased, 6900 Wisconsin Ave., where 3,978 square feet was leased and 1390 Piccard Dr. in Rockville, where 7,206 square feet was leased. WPC also picked up 3,785 square feet of leased space in its Greenbelt office located in the Patriot Business Park at 7852 & 7850 Walker Dr.
The company leased a total of 38,562 square feet in Virginia, divided between two buildings. At Huntwood Plaza, a building located at 5845 Richmond Hghwy, in Alexandria, it signed a total of 17,710 square feet, namely to Omnifics,in a renewal.
At the Westwood office building, located at 8618 Westwood Center Dr. in Vienna, some 20,852 square feet was signed including an 18,230 square foot renewal by Day & Night Printing.
